Lady Flower is an original one-of-a-kind oil painting. Having drawn florals for years I started getting interested in making up my own flowers using the elements of real flowers I've learned along the way this is one of those. It is a large painting measuring 24" x 48" with a heavily wrinkled texture and the colors are oranges and greens on a pale grey shaded background.

Each side of this jagged rock on a platform with little feet contains one or more facial characters with the protrusions of the rock corresponding to noses, chins, etc. In this case there are 14 characters on one rock.

These designs are made cohesive both by the black paint contrasting against the colors of each painting piece used but also because it's all compiled within an Autumn color scheme. Completed in a mosaic style the various canvas piece compilation was given a protective varnish coat that offers a shine that enhances it's already rich coloring.

This 10" x 10" wooden mirror has hand-painted canvas, applied mosaic style then sealed with varnish. The rich earth-tones are accentuated by the shiny black paint that provides a rich contrast.

Eight characters (er um... one being a torso!) occupy this space. Sometimes you just gotta share an eye! The freewheeling colors of this wooden mirror started by my hand coloring heavy paper using mixed media, at which time they were shredded, then applied mosaic style to create this keepsake to cherish.

Rocks and an otherwise array of things combined to make the coordinated whole. With a total of 4 faces they are quite dressed up for the day sporting a pretty, glitzy hat, spiky red hair on one side. This is around 4" tall standing on a 2" x 2" tile, aluminum trimmed platform.

This mirror is made mosaic style with shredded paint chip samples applied to the wooden surface. It measures 10" x 10" with a wide wooden frame on which the art is applied.

This is a carefully constructed rock character placed on a color matching wooden platform with little pearlescent bead legs. Grandma sports her Sunday best hat (embroidered piece with pearly beaded crown and fringe color they all seem to enjoy (her four characters friends found on other sides of rock to be exact!

Whether you call it reuse or upcycling this cheery 10" x 10" wooden mirror measures 10" x 10" - 25.4 cm x 25.4 cm and is all ready to hang. The surface collage is made of a beautiful and happily colored wrapping paper which I shredded and applied to the wooden surface.

This beautiful Indian Lady is all on her own, so that makes her pretty unusual as compared to her counterpart rock characters I created with multiple face persons. She's got great hair which is tied back with decorative beads. Lots of pieces came together to get her ready for the day. In this one I used a strand of hair bought to decoratively add to our hair, sequins, paint, beads, poker chips and bottle caps. She is 5" tall on an almost 2" circular platform

This mirror is done with reuse with bits of leftover oil paint applied to the surface in earthy colors of greens, oranges and white. After that I decided to use Sgraffito which is a term that simply means scratching into the surface (used on walls, paintings, clay, etc.) to complete this piece; I scratched designs into the surface to create both texture and interest in an otherwise okay, but perhaps a bit plain piece without that extra bit.
