Freewheeling Fun
INSPIRATION
Reuse and Recycling is one of my inspirations but not just for the reasons you might think. Overcrowded landfills could be a logical reason, but I had an impetus for this method before landfills became a worldwide issue, simply because I was raised to think that way.
It is fun and requires innovation and adaptation toward a purpose and I think that's what keeps me so engaged! Some artists repurpose exclusively, but for me it is as potential materials appear and my antenna is always up for that! I really feel working within the constraints of a limited amount of materials enables me to create things that are really unique and things with individualized character. I hope you find this so too!
DESCRIPTION/MATERIALS USED
The freewheeling colors of this wooden mirror started by my hand coloring heavy paper using mixed media, at which time they were shredded, then applied mosaic style to create this keepsake to cherish. It has a protective varnish seal that also increases the vibrancy of color.
This one of a kind wooden mirror measures 10" x 10" - 25.4 cm x 25.4 cm and is ready to hang in your home or your "besty's" abode! This piece is truly original and could be great for you or that special or hard to shop for someone. (Hint: it also hides nicely under a Christmas tree as that specially hand-crafted gift for the one who has everything!)
